It seems that there is an upwards trend of ice-cream parlours opening of the late, with names such as Amos Perfect Gelato and Sweet Cheeks Gelato, and One Stone Three Birds which had also opened within the heartlands of the late.
Taking up a small space beside the ice-skating rink of JCube, Madlygood is anew ice-cream parlour which serves up quite a number of unique flavours of ice-cream. Being situated at Level 3 of the mall, it is hidden away from the other F&B establishments within the mall; however, the location is still considered pretty prominent for how it is located right outside the entrance towards the ice skating rink itself. Whilst being more of a kiosk set-up, Madlygood does offer some dine-in seating; a pretty convenient spot to people-watch while enjoying a leisurely cuppa or dessert in the day. Being an ice-cream parlour, Madlygood serves up quite a surprising variety of flavours — all of which being pretty unique flavours, though some may have taken inspiration from other ice-cream parlours given how familiar they sound; the ice-cream can be served in cups, cones or even with waffles or other bakes, including brownie and apple pie as well. Apart from serving up various selections of desserts, Madlygood also serves up specialty coffee, tea and sodas as well.

During our first visit to Madlygood when they had first opened their doors, we found ourselves trying a few flavours, including the White Chrysanthemum with Goji Berries which felt like their own rendition of a similar flavour offered at both Birds of Paradise Gelato Boutique and One Stone Three Birds. We found ourselves settling for the Sea Salt Hokkaido Milk Lavender and the Alishan Milk Tea with Mocha. The latter was almost akin to having a well-balanced milk tea; the tea leaves evoking its natural fragrance that is almost like a strong Oolong Tea base at 0% sweetness, while the milkiness helps to add richness to those aforementioned notes of the ice-cream — very simple and satisfying, with the “Mocha” element being chocolate swirled in to provide the sweetness one would usually associate with ice-cream for a flavour contrast. In comparison, the Sea Salt Hokkaido Milk Lavender is something that is slightly fancier; no doubt we were a little sketipcial with the use of colouring here that gives it the distinct purple hue, but we pretty much enjoyed how the flavour carried a slight saltish hint that helped to lift the milky base of the ice-cream — all that while the lavender adds a floral note to provide yet another contrast of flavours to the ice-cream.
Having tried a limited selection of items that Madlygood has to offer, we found ourselves being pretty impressed with flavours of ice-cream that they carry. Not only do they boast a wide variety of flavours to choose from, but we were also pretty surprised by how many unique flavours that they have to offer here. We also liked how the flavours were pretty much on-point according to its description and well within expectations. The only qualm we have is on the presentation of their ice-creams; while the flavours were great, we are not a fan of the colouring of the ice-cream here which were a little too bright and colourful. No doubt a move likely to attract kids and youngsters alike for their ice-cream, but it does make the ice-cream look a tad artificial to our own preferences. Otherwise, Madlygood is a spot that we would certainly revisit again for good ice-cream in Jurong East; a convenient location within the mall that is a great for a post-meal dessert whilst watching the ice-skaters perform their tricks at the ice-skating rink.
